RyeNo Public AdjustingResidential & commercial property claims

What we do

We represent policyholders on homeowner and commercial property claims across Utah.

Homeowner claims

We handle all types of homeowner property claims.

  • Hail and wind damage to roofs, siding, gutters, and windows
  • Water damage from burst pipes, plumbing leaks, and appliance failures
  • Fire and smoke damage
  • Fallen trees and storm debris
  • Frozen pipes and ice damage
  • Theft and vandalism

Commercial property claims

Commercial claims are bigger and more complicated. Having someone in your corner matters even more.

  • Office and retail buildings
  • Multifamily and apartment properties
  • Warehouses and industrial buildings
  • Churches and nonprofit facilities

Storm, wind, hail, water, and fire losses on commercial property all follow the same process: careful documentation, a detailed claim, and firm negotiation.

Wherever your claim stands

New claims

Just had damage? We document it and file the claim correctly from the start.

Underpaid claims

If the settlement doesn't match what the repair really costs, we review it and reopen the conversation with your carrier.

Denied claims

A denial isn't always the final word. We look at why it was denied and what evidence could change it.

Appraisal

When you and your insurer can't agree on what the loss is worth, we can serve as your appraiser for a flat $500. How appraisal works

Appraisal services

When negotiations stall, appraisal can move a claim forward.

$500 flat fee for appraisal services

Most homeowner and commercial property policies include an appraisal clause, a way to resolve disputes with your insurance company without going to court. Each side names its own appraiser, and RyeNo serves as the appointed appraiser for policyholders across Utah.

Appraisal can help when the insurer's estimate is far below the real repair cost, when you disagree on scope, pricing, or depreciation, or when the numbers simply aren't moving. Every claim is different, so we'll review yours and tell you honestly whether appraisal is the right path.

How the process works

  1. Demand appraisal

Appraisal is requested in writing under the policy, and each side names its appraiser.

  2. Inspect and estimate

We inspect the property and prepare a detailed, line-by-line estimate.

  3. Work toward agreement

We meet with the insurer's appraiser and resolve differences item by item.

  4. Umpire, if needed

Anything the appraisers can't agree on goes to a neutral umpire.

  5. Signed award

An award signed by two of the three sets the amount, and the insurer pays under the policy terms.

For contractors

You find the damage. We make sure the claim reflects it. Contractors across Utah refer customers to us so they can stay focused on the work while we handle the insurance side.

When you send a customer our way, we reach out quickly, keep you in the loop on inspections and approvals, and work toward a scope that matches what actually needs to be built.

What working together looks like

  • You send the customer's name and contact info
  • We schedule a review with the property owner
  • We share status updates as the claim progresses
  • You get clear answers on approved scope

Common questions

What does a public adjuster do?

A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents the policyholder, not the insurance company, in preparing, filing, and negotiating a property damage claim.

How are you paid?

There's no upfront cost. Our fee is a percentage of the new money we help recover: 12% on non-catastrophic claims and 10% on catastrophic claims. New money means insurance proceeds paid after you sign with us, so you never pay us on money the insurer had already paid you.

Do you handle commercial claims?

Yes. We handle commercial property claims as well as homeowner claims.

Can you help if I already filed?

Yes. We can often step in on an open claim or one that has been underpaid or denied.

Do I still pick my own contractor?

Yes. You choose who does the work. We focus on the insurance claim.
